PHS / MDS Home Stager Employment & Training
As
a home stager, you help Home Owners & Realtors to sell their homes
quickly and for the best price. You'll entice potential buyers by
highlighting a home's best features and making it feel spacious,
warm, and inviting inside and out.
As a stager, you are a home merchandising
expert. You help clients prepare their homes for sale. For occupied
homes, the staging process involves de-cluttering, depersonalizing,
redesigning rooms, improving curb appeal, and addressing necessary
repairs. For vacant homes, you are most usually working with empty
rooms; transforming them into warm, inviting spaces where
prospective home buyers can visualize themselves living and enjoying
a lifestyle. The goal is to make the property as appealing as
possible to wide range of potential buyers by maximizing its
attributes and making it appear large, bright, clean, and inviting.
One of the most rewarding things about being a home stager is that
you get to use your creativity and have fun while you are working
and getting paid at the same time!
We Offer Two

Currently, through our parent companies, PHS,
Paradise Home Staging,
and MDS,
Million Dollar Stagers, we
have opportunities to be added to our professional Home Staging teams for both experienced & Qualified Home Stagers
(see Opportunity One), as
well as for people who are new to the industry, who have little or
no previous experience, or who are not trained & certified.
(Opportunity Two).

ONE - To Qualify, You Must Meet
ALL Of The Criteria Below:

currently have openings for Interior Designers - but we do have
openings for Home Stagers/Real Estate Merchandisers, and for
presentation givers and sales people.)
1. Substantial
Previous Professional Home Staging Experience
2. Previous Commercial Merchandising Experience or Training
3. Previous Real Estate Experience
4. Portfolio To Demonstrate Previous Work
5. Home Stager Certification (see below)
6. References From Previous Employers / Clients
NOTE:
Interior Design
& Feng Shui experience alone does not qualify you for our Home
Stager positions. This is due to the differences between these
two trades, and the type of Home Staging & Real Estate Merchandising
work that we do. You need experience that is specific to Home
Staging, and you also need some knowledge of Merchandising.
Real Estate knowledge and experience is also beneficial.
For those of you who meet ALL of the above
critery: we
have openings to add
qualified and experienced stagers to our team of freelance Home
Stagers & Merchandisers to provide work as
it becomes available. We pay between $15 - $25/Hr minimum,
but sometimes it can be much more, depending on the home, the
available budget, and what we negotiate with you on a per-project
basis. If you already have
substantial professional Home Staging
experience, AND if you are currently Certified as a Home Staging
Professional through a recognized Home Staging course of study, such as ASP, HSR, CSP,
Etc., then we would be happy to set up an appointment for a
telephone
interview, and, if that goes well, to meet you in person, to talk and to consider adding you
to our team. Note: You must
currently live within the State of Hawaii, or in one of our
other service areas in order to be considered for work with us.
If you are planning to move to Hawaii in the near future, that's
okay, but we cannot add you to our Hawaii team until after you are actually
here and we meet with and talk to you in person. If you are
outside of Hawaii, please contact us if you are interested in
possible opportunities where you currently live.
To be added
to our staging team: We will need to see a resume
that shows your actual, commercial Home Staging and Merchandising
experience, a portfolio of your work, a copy of your professional
certification, and personal & trade references. Without these things you cannot be considered
under Option One (scroll down to Option Two). Your
portfolio MUST show professional, commercial level work; it cannot be of work
that you did in your own home, or for friends.

In other words, "tell us a little about yourself"; don't just say
your interested in the job and leave us hanging without any

Staging work that you may have available. It is Very
Important that you follow these directions! IF your background
matches what we are looking for, we will call or email you back
ASAP.
At that time, we may request a telephone or in person interview. We may
also ask for a formal resume, a portfolio and references. We
will provide you with an email address if we ask you to email us
information.

Successful completion of the training programs that we offer
can qualify you to be added to our own team of Home Stagers, it can prepare you to
start your own staging business, or it can give you what you need in order
to work for other staging companies - the choice is yours.

If you do not meet the requirements to work with us under
Opportunity One - You can qualify to work with our Home Staging
Team by taking advantage of our Local, Hawaii Based Home Stager and
Real Estate Merchandiser Training & Certification Program.
Because we teach our students not only basic staging, but also how
to "merchandise" a home, this is a very unique training program and
opportunity. This is the only course of its kind in the
nation!

we now offer Two home stager courses, both
locally here on Oahu, and Nationally Online. Our core
(silver) course will provide you with a full Home Stager & Real Estate Merchandiser
Certification. Our Gold Upgrade Course is available after
completing our core course. It will take you way beyond what
you learn in your first course and can be valuable in providing you
with additional earnings potential, skills and knowledge.
These courses have been lovingly and passionately created, and newly
updated to offer you a way to learn the
science behind
home staging - from the design side and from a merchandising
and Real Estate perspective. Our courses give you an opportunity to get started in this industry on a professional
level. You will gain a tremendous amount of
knowledge & Information that will be very useful and valuable if
you are truly serious about becoming involved in this line of work. Learning and
receiving this training is an
investment in yourself and in your own personal future. We
DO charge a fee for this
training (see below) because of the time involved (usually
between 30 and 40 hours per student) and because this training has a true and
tangible value that you can carry on with you into the future, even
if you are not working for our company.
What we offer is more then just an opportunity to work with us, because you
can take this education and apply it anywhere at any time in your
future. This training can help you even if you want to start your
own Home Staging business, or if you want to be better qualified to
work for another company.

HHSPC Real Estate Merchandiser & Home Staging Pro™ Certification
Program:
Our HHSPC Real Estate Merchandising & Staging Pro™ Certification is
issued here locally in Hawaii, by HHSPC, the Hawaii Home Stagers Protégé
Club, to students who successfully complete this "one of a kind" Home Stager
Training course. Our courses are taught in a combination of both
one-on-one sessions, and, occasionally in small group class sessions (generally
made up of between 2 to 6 people). This course has been recently
given a major facelift, and now consists of 28 lessons, divided into
6
training modules. All of our lessons are now available in both
written manuals, and in audio format. Everything is
downloadable online, including all of your textbooks. All
textbooks are now included with the course, free of any additional
fees. To supplement your online training materials, each
student is assigned a personal tutor. If you live in Hawaii,
you may meet with your tutor in person, for one-on-one face to face
personalized sessions. Our courses provide training in "the Theory & Science of Real Estate
Merchandising and Home Staging", including two
afternoon in the field workshops, touring and evaluating both staged and
un-staged homes in various O'ahu neighborhoods. The HHSPC
Course also
includes Two virtual home
staging sessions. Each session will be from between two to
three hours in length. As projects become available (depending on how you
are doing in your training), you may also be given opportunities to
go into actual homes; to help with staging evaluations,
consultations and presentations, or to do actual paid staging work.
The hands-on experience that we provide is all local, here in
Hawaii. We believe that local market knowledge and training is one
of many essential and invaluable resources and advantages that make our local Hawaii based

Hawaii, that you receive both One-On-One In-Person Student / Tutor Training,

Your course includes:
Personalized, One-On-One individualized
training & Small Group Classroom Session's
You actually get your very own Personal Tutor; a local,
professional stager who will work directly with you on a one-on-on
level throughout your training. For each training session, your
tutor will meet with you personally at our office in Punalu'u (Oahu),
or provide your training on the phone and online (or some
combination of the two - whatever works best for you). Also,
recently, we had added small group classroom style training sessions
to the mix. This allows
for a better training experience and very flexible scheduling that
can accommodate the individual needs of each student. If you have a
full or part time job, children to take care off, are a student
taking classes, or if you have other things going on in you life
that make taking a course like this challenging when it comes to
time and schedules we can and are willing to work with you. Also,
if you need to, this course can now be taken completely online!!!
Comprehensive Home Stager Training
We will teach you the nuts and bolts of the Real Estate Merchandising & the Home Staging Process -
in other words, you will learn "The Science of Real Estate
Merchandising and Home Staging".
You will not find this anywhere else. No other course,
anywhere, teaches the same material that we cover! Anyone
can "stage a home", but getting the desired results is an entirely
different story. In order to successfully stage a home, there are
specific goals that need to be achieved and techniques that must be
employed. As home stagers, we implement proven strategies in order

Interior Design & Feng Shui Vs. Home Staging
& Real Estate Merchandising: Many people do not understand that Home Staging is NOT the same as
Interior Design, or Feng Shui. Home Staging, Interior Design, and
Feng Shui, although there
are interests, talents and skills that cross over, are very
different businesses that take entirely different approaches toward
the work that is to be done. The processes that are used in each are
very different form one another. Because of this, Interior
Design and Feng Shui experience and (or) training is not enough to be a successful
and competent Home Staging & Real Estate Merchandising Professional. If you are an
Interior Designer who is interested in expanding into Home Staging &
Real Estate Merchandising,
you should look upon additional Home Stager & Real Estate
Merchandiser Training and certification as an opportunity to broaden
your horizons and to add to your already existing skill set.
Learning new skills is something that is always beneficial and it
can only make you better in your profession.
Staging Is More Than Just Furniture or Accessories: Contrary to what
