   Basic, Traditional Home Staging VS Real Estate Merchandising  

   Basic, traditional Home Staging: consists mostly of temporary improvements to the overall appearance of a home, and of increasing the "perceived" value.  This level of staging deals almost entirely with the visual precepts of decluttering, depersonalizing, organizing, and of arranging items within a space.  Basic, traditional Home Staging is a lot less involved then Real Estate Merchandising and is much more simplistic in nature. The work is typically done within a very short amount of time (often times within only a few hours), budgets are low, and the effectiveness and outcome of the work is much less than when full-service, well rounded, well strategized Real Estate Merchandising is introduced.

      Real Estate Merchandising:  In the HHSPC Advanced Home Staging & Real Estate Merchandiser Training Program" we teach our students how to go well beyond the traditional work that Home Stagers have done in the past.
